Heat Wave was founded in 2001 in Phoenix, Arizona - a hotbed of agility and vast untapped flyball resources. The dogs trained up quickly and the club entered its first tournament in February of 2002. Today, Heat Wave boasts three regional championships (2006, 2007, & 2008), a veterans team, and dogs ranked in the top 100 of their breed with NAFA. We are also proud of our 2007 and 2008 Region 6 MVPs - Jazz and Jenna!
Heat Wave is a competitive team which relishes the comraderie and competition of a tournament. Our members enjoy training new dogs and just hanging out together. All of our dogs are companions and family members first, and racing dogs second. Many of the dogs have dabbled in the venues of therapy, agility, rally obedience, dock diving, conformation, Jack Russell games, lure coursing, disc dog, and just hanging out on the couch with their people. If you enjoy team sports and travel, this may be the team for you.
