Phantom is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who had a hard start to life. He was diagnosed with Valley Fever at a young age and nearly died before diagnosed. Phantom, however, is a fighter and he fought his way back not only to health, but to race on the flyball field. At the age of 6, Phantom is a solid dog who can run with the most hard-core Mals or Border Collies. He is one of the most vocal dogs on the field; especially when he gets to run with His Girl, Molly. Phantom is a Beast on the field, using every opportunity to beat up on his handler - hence his nickname of The Beast. Phantom runs for his mom and has a really quick box to get back to her quick. After that he likes to run around and show off his special tennis balls until sternly ordered back into the lineup. In his youth, Phantom ran for at least four handlers, which makes him a really versatile guy!

Red Dog over green grasss - what could be more scenic?
On occasion, Phantom gets caught up in the race and forgets to bring his ball - Hey, Big Red --- where's the ball?!
...that's more like it.
His box is a work in progress - but the faster he gets, the faster it gets...
Phantom is the height dog on our multibreed team. Eleven inches is nothing for this boy...
What can I say? He's my silly nut!
Phantom also enjoys racing for Judge Dave.
Phantom has added a bit of intensity to his game.
